Prices include all taxes and fees. Children 6-12 are always $25 off.

Gratuities are not expected, as your guides are owners/operators of Joshua Tree Astronomy Adventures.

Handling Weather Conditions

Joshua Tree is ideal for stargazing, with clear skies year-round. However, we do experience the occasional windy or rainy night, and sometimes the atmosphere likes to show off with some big, beautiful clouds. Here’s how we handle various weather conditions:

• Wind or Rain: For safety and comfort, we cancel tours if wind speeds are too high or if rain is forecast. We make the final decision at 3 PM on the day of the tour, when forecasts are updated. If a cancellation is necessary, you will be promptly notified, and we’ll work with you to reschedule or issue refunds.

• Cloudy Skies: If clouds are expected, we’ll consult with you on how to proceed. Partial cloud cover can clear up during the tour, but the decision is yours. We also offer reduced rates for tours affected by cloudy conditions.

We closely monitor conditions and communicate potential weather issues the day before the tour. If we need to cancel, we’ll confirm after the 3 PM weather update on the day of your tour. Since forecasts can change significantly overnight, we avoid making early cancellations and hope for the best. If you receive a weather watch email the day before and prefer not to wait for our final decision, you are free to cancel at that time.
